The Affordable Housing Program (PAHP), spearheaded by the Housing Urban Development and Public Health Engineering (HUD&PHE) Department, is a major initiative aimed at addressing critical housing challenges in the Punjab. Implemented through the Program Management and Implementation Unit (PMIU) and supported by Urban Sector Planning and Management Services (Pvt.) Ltd. (The Urban Unit) and PHTA as complementary agencies, the PAHP is set to tackle housing shortages, affordability issues, and urban settlement issues by adopting innovative and incremental interventions. By focusing on these areas, the program aims to create a more equitable and sustainable housing environment for the residents of Punjab.
In partnership with the World Bank, Punjab Government is committed to enhancing the quantity and quality of affordable housing. The World Bank’s support enables the PAHP to fund development of new housing units, and to strengthen housing institutions and systems.
This collaborative effort aims not only to increase the supply of affordable housing but also to ensure that the housing provided is of high quality and sustainability-ultimately improving the living standards and well-being of the people of Punjab.
Let's come together to create innovative and sustainable housing solutions that will make a real difference in our communities.
